Commemorative coins tell a piece of American history!

The Statue of Liberty half dollar was minted in 1986 to mark the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the Statue of Liberty. Designed by Edgar Steever and Sherl Joseph Winter, it was also the first copper & nickel-clad coin of its denomination.

In 1989 the Congress Bicentennial half dollar was issued to honor the 200th anniversary of Congress's first assembly. Coin is clad in copper-nickel and features bust of the Statue of Freedom on obverse.

Arrives in protective museum-quality display box and includes history sheet and Certificate of Authenticity.
